Job Title: Operations Administrator (Maternity Cover)

Responsible To: Production Manager

Location: Dumfries

Department: Engineering

Status: Full Time, Temporary to cover Maternity Leave


We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator to join our team within the Engineering Department to cover a period of maternity leave. You will provide high level administrative support to the Production Management Team, ensuring excellence in customer service. You will report directly to the Production Manager, taking responsibility for a wide range of duties.


  • Process sales orders and deal with any related queries
  • Procurement of material and consumables
  • Update and maintain all documents for specific projects
  • Manage e-mails coming into the department via the generic email account
  • Maintain an absence management system
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers - answering queries and providing them with information
  • Maintain Production Control System from job estimation to delivery of finished goods
  • Process and review daily labour reports. Update as required for payroll and job costing
  • Enter goods received onto Production Control System
  • Process purchase invoices
